Business Analyst (Six Sigma Coach)- Houston, Texas

Senior PsychCare is looking for a Business Analyst who is responsible for leading efforts that are focused on process improvements. This person uses a variety of skills to identify, analyze and implement opportunities for improvement within our organization. Increase productivity, reduce costs and improves process. Identifies and removes inefficiencies using key continuous improvement tools and a defined methodology for solving problems down to root cause. Plans, coaches others, conducts, facilitates, and leads Lean Six Sigma projects. Establish performance measurement systems and goals to be aligned with organizational objectives. Aligns value streams to increase work product flow. Responsible for improvement of KPI’s and adherences to LSS principles. 

  • Managing, owning, implementing, and ensuring continued process documentation of manuals, SOPs, reports, and procedures.
  • Strong understanding of Lean Six Sigma or similar related methodologies.
  • Candidates who do well in this position tend to work well under pressure and are able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organization and time management skills are also highly valued.
  • Coordination of specialized missions working cross functionally with internal and external business partners.
  • Conducts a variety of organizational studies, investigations, and operational studies.
  • Recommend new procedures to enhance efficiency of day-to-day operations as appropriate.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Own and document all current processes where non exist, update existing documentation to reflect current way of work. Find gaps and refine processes for all departments.
  • Lead identified improvement efforts through all stages of the basic Six Sigma process (DMAIC, Lean, DMADV, etc.) across various areas of the organization while providing leadership and guidance for the people who are attached to project.
  • Responsible for implementing improvement actions and measuring the results. Improvements focus on improved service delivery to customers and improved organizational productivity and operating efficiency.
  • Work closely with account management staff, take the lead on working directly with internal and external staff to develop solutions and resolve their specific issues.
  • Document via flowcharting existing processes, identify fail points and develop solutions.
  • Conduct SWOT, gap analysis, and other analysis to determine root causes of service performance failure.
  • Identify or conceptualize process system improvement.
  • Develop improvement effort timelines, key milestones, and resource needs.
  • Manage process improvement implementation, escalations, cost, and scope.
  • Provide coaching support to organization staff to support their improvement efforts.
  • Utilize change management techniques to ensure the improvements are sustained.
  • Ability to project manage and work independently across one or more active improvements.
  • Ability to successfully interface with all levels and areas of the organization.
  • Coach team members to identify possible solutions and evaluate alternative courses of action and facilitates process to resolve differing views and positions.
  • Manage the impact of change on operational areas staff and vendors.
  • Must be skilled in the use of Microsoft suites of office products, specifically Excel, Visio, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to analyze complex scenarios to draw supportable conclusions and recommendations.
  • Enthusiastic, energetic, and highly driven, with the desire to learn our business.

Preferred Candidates will have:

  • Strong Healthcare background and project experience.
  • MBA in any business related field.

 

Education/Training/experience Required:

  • Education– bachelor’s degree in business, Healthcare, or related field.
  • Experience and certification as a Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt - or - willing to obtain certification (on your own) within six months of employment.
    • Lean Six Sigma/ Continuous Improvement: 2 years
    • DMAIC: 2 years
    • Root Cause Analysis: 2 years
