Job Description Summary

MUSC is seeking a licensed clinical psychologist. This role is a full-time, on-site position, to provide comprehensive, integrated, and specialized clinical care to support improved behavioral health services and outcomes for patients.

Responsibilities will include the following:

* Conduct comprehensive psychosocial evaluations and formulate treatment plans according to patient needs.

* Provide individualized therapy using a variety of directive, nondirective, and supportive therapy to help patients gain insight into personal issues, define treatment and life goals and assist in achieving these goals. Expertise in cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing is desirable.

* Provide family centered therapy when appropriate

* Collaborate and consult with other treatment team members as necessary to optimize treatment

* Monitor each patient's progress and revise treatment plans and goals as appropriate

* Administer, score and interpret self-report questionnaires, diagnose behavioral health disorders when indicated, and develop treatment plans as needed

* Develop and facilitate group counseling with families, patients, and/or family members.

Job Description

Eligible candidates must have completed a doctorate program in clinical psychology. Applicants must be licensed or license-eligible in South Carolina. Five or more years of experience in a health-related field preferred. Prior experience delivering evidence-based therapies for behavioral health disorders is required (e.g., CBT, DBT, ACT, and FAP). Experience with substance use disorder therapies and treatments preferred.

Ability to perform repetitive motions with hands/wrists/elbows and shoulders (F). Possess good fingerdexterity (C). Ability to fully use both legs. (C) Ability to use lower extremities for balance and coordination. (F) Ability to reach in all directions. (F) Ability to lift and carry 30 lbs. unassisted (F). Ability to lift/lower objects 15 lbs. from/tofloor from/to 36 inches unassisted (I). Ability to lift from 36" to overhead 15 lbs. (I). Ability to push/pull objects to 30 lbs. unassisted (F).Ability to maintain vision 20/40 corrected (C). Ability to see and recognize objects close at hand (C). Ability to maintain hearing acuity, with correction (C). Ability to perform gross motor functions with frequent fine motor movements (C).
