JOB DESCRIPTION **POSITION SUMMARY:**

The Forklift Driver is responsible for all inbound, warehouse and outbound operations within the distribution center. You will be utilizing a stand-up forklift / cherry picker.

**SCHEDULE:** Monday-Friday 6:00 AM-2:30 PM. Overtime may be required.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**

**Inbound Operations**

* Receive stock, verify and transact materials to ensure timely and accurate flow of materials into the facility. Verifies versus pack lists/truck bills and/or work orders for accuracy.

* Enters appropriate information into Lot Tracking System (LOTS) to maintain quality records and traceability

* Processes customer returns.

* Prepares customer replacement parts and repack parts.

* Addresses and responds to material non-conformance/GCSs as required.

* Communicates with Buyer(s) if materials arrive in suspect condition. Must use good judgment to determine if materials should be refused due to damage.

**Warehouse Operations**

* Retrieve, stock, and verify materials in high bay warehousing environment for timely fulfillment of internal and external customer orders.

* This position uses industrial material handling equipment typical of high bay warehousing.

* Prepares materials and delivers materials to designated locations using manual or powered equipment.

* Inspects material for conformance to standards. Inspects for visible damage to materials.

* Performs cycle count duties for assigned inventory items.

* Accurately perform computer transactions to ensure product availability for customer orders.

* Pick all customer orders to attain quality and On-Time Delivery (OTD) goals.

* Replenish stock locations as required to fill customer orders.

* Pick components to fill internal customer orders.

**Outbound Operations**

* Verify items ensuring order accuracy.

* Audit and inspect orders before staging and shipping. Audits include checking for proper labeling and verifying that the documents match the cartons packed.

* Pack pallets for ground, air, and sea transport.

**General**

* Comply with company safety & housekeeping policies.

* Complete daily & weekly 5S.

* Complete daily reports, audits and cell boards

* Participate in meetings, projects (planning and implementation), Kaizens, cross training, and assist in training of new employees.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

**QUALIFICATIONS:**

* High School Diploma or GED required.

* Must have 6 months or more of forklift experience.

* Prior distribution experience is a plus.

* Inventory Management experience is a plus (i.e., inventory transactions, cycle counting, & material handling).

* Requires associate to pass fork truck driving test.

**Skills:**

* Basic math. and reading skills, along with legible handwriting are required.

* Legible handwriting.

* Accurate keyboard data entry.

* Ability to problem solve.

* Requires associate to pass fork truck driving test, and ability to maintain good driving record.

* Requires high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

* High level of mental attention.

* Must be able to interact and communicate effectively with a wide range of personalities.

* Must have good hand/eye coordination.
