Gate Guard
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for the following: Other duties may be assigned.
Monitor facility entrance and surroundings for potential issues and promptly report HSE or Security concerns to management. Maintain log of entries and exits and/or ensure automated logging system (turnstile or similar) is used.
Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft.
Write reports of safety or security concerns observed.
Call for emergency response in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized or unruly persons.
Monitor visitors, patrons, or employees to preserve order and protect property.
Monitor alarm system or cameras as applicable to location to detect potential HSE or security issues.
Monitor the entrance and exit of persons.
Patrol of guard area or premises.
Recognize and correct or report public safety hazards.
Authorize entry or exit of individuals.
Required Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or GED
Have and maintain a valid states driver’s license.
Working Conditions:
Regular exposure to weather conditions, especially hot, humid and/or rainy weather, combined with regular work time indoors in environmentally controlled conditions.
Necessary Equipment Operation:
Operate machinery such as company automobile.
Special Skills:
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
High performance and strong team player.
Guards need manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, good physical fitness, and good sense of balance.
Ability to carry out directives effectively, and on time.
Desire to assist and clean-up without being directed.
Commitment to company values and safety program.
