Job Title: Instructional Design Intern

Role Summary : Habitat for Humanity Texas is currently seeking an Instructional Design Intern to assist experienced staff in creating, delivering, and managing educational materials for professional development among Habitat for Humanity affiliates and their beneficiaries across the state of Texas.

This position is remote within the state of Texas and reports to the Community Outreach and Mission Officer and CEO.

This position is part-time (10-15 hours per week) with a compensation of $15/hr.

Position Roles and Responsibilities:

The IDI will assist experienced staff in creating, delivering, and managing educational materials for professional development, including topics such as financial literacy. The intern will utilize instructional design models to produce measurable results and foster an engaging learning environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Creating immersive, adult learning experiences,
• Aligning content with student needs,
• Providing interactive activities,
• Collaborating with subject matter experts for lesson planning,
• Assess learning objectives,
• Incorporate new technologies,
• Distribute educational materials, and
• Monitor and manage student progress.

In addition to all other duties as required.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Ideal candidates should have:

• A solid understanding of instructional design models,
• Knowledge of learning management systems,
• Experience or educational equivalent in Curriculum planning and course development software,
• Basic knowledge of HTML and Flash,
• Interest in adult education, financial literacy, and affordable housing,
• Strong project management skills.
