Objective:

• WC Health is seeking part-time and full-time Medical Assistants who have knowledge and experience in family practice and women's health to treat and work with employees and families in Las Vegas.

Essential Functions:

• Assist patients to exam rooms
• Take patient histories, measure vital signs, including weight, height, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in the patient's chart.
• Perform MA procedures under the supervision of a Nurse Practitioner
• Assist Nurse Practitioner in exam room with Pap Smears
• Give instructions to patients as instructed by Nurse Practitioner
• Ensure all related reports, labs and information are filed and available in patients' medical records prior to their appointment
• Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required
• Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls
• Manage a high volume of patient visits
• Patient Education
• Assist in in office procedures
• All other duties as assigned by the Clinical Manager.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Skilled in venipuncture and fingersticks
• Ability to work independently
• Strong Organizational skills
• Excellent Time management skills

Position Type: Full-Time and Part-Time

Education and Experience:

• Experienced Medical Assistant with a minimum of 2 years experience
• Experience in Family Practice or Women's Health
• EMR (electronic medical record) experience required
• Medical Assistant: 2 years (Preferred)
