HOW A PRINCIPAL ARCHITECT FOR LINUX WILL MAKE AN IMPACT: - Act as lead architect within a team of technical leads to create advanced Linux architectures and designs so they integrate seamlessly with the current Linux and Windows environment.
- Enterprise Authorization: Integrate Linux Systems (currently, Ubuntu and RHEL 7/8 systems) into a primary Windows environment (workstations & servers) where authentication, authorization, and accounting actives are controlled by Active Directory with PKI certificates and Single Sign On.
- Enterprise Provisioning: Configure new Linux systems for customer use and ensuring that initial configurations meet required enterprise baselines & controls (e.g., proper agents installed, proper configs, etc.)
- Integrate Linux systems with other enterprise tooling (e.g., ACAS, Splunk, SolarWinds, Backup systems, etc.)
Required Skills - Education: BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related technology field. Experience may be substituted for education.
- Required Experience: Minimum 14 years of relevant experience supporting projects of similar size, scope and complexity.
- Required Technical Experience: Thorough experience preferably with Ubuntu, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or a derivative. Candidate will be required to acquire DoD Instruction 8570 Level II Certification within 6 months of assignment.
- Security Clearance Level: Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility and a T5 or T5R within the last 5 years
- Required Skills and Abilities : Highly motivated, self-starter; ability to work alone (90% of work is individual); heavy research and development when necessary.
- Location: Washington, District of Columbia; limited telework may be available

The likely salary range for this position is $170,000 - $230,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
