Production Designer- Helen Woodward Animal Center

Rancho Santa Fe, CA

$24 an hour

Full Time (40 hours per week- occasional nights and/or weekends as needed)

On-site position, occasional travel locally

Do you have a passion for creating projects from concept to completion in graphic design, illustration, and photography?

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITES:

As the Production Designer for the world-renowned Helen Woodward Animal Center, you will work closely and report to the Senior Creative Manager with various creative projects to support the Center's strategic branding, mission and values. This position requires exceptional skills in layout, production and organization of Center creative materials. Projects include but are not limited to: advertisements, web graphics, brochures, logos, forms, infographics, flyers, invitations, signage, program materials, photo/video editing, social media content.

Other requirements include:

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, or a related field or a minimum 5 years in related experience.
• At least 2 years with in-house design and branding experience a plus
• Proficiency in software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, InDesign) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
• Experience with video editing, web design, photography, proofreading, printing, signage printing/assembly or experience with platforms such as Asana, Classy, WordPress are a plus.
• Must have the ability to stay organized, multi-task and produce quality work under tight deadlines.
• Reliable team player committed to building positive relationships and adapting to several roles and tasks when needed. Will collaborate with several departments.
• Local travel, assisting at events or driving company vehicles on occasion.
• Consistent record of attendance and punctuality
• Be a creative thinker, while able to take creative direction and translate into design that follows the Centers' established brand standards.
• Desire to work in the non-profit/animal welfare industry a plus.

• This position is an on-campus position, and does not offer remote options. Interviews will be conducted in person. A relevant portfolio is required for consideration (digital or website link)
