Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) & Compliance Specialist to oversee and ensure adherence to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards in the repackaging of herbs and supplements. This role will be critical in managing and documenting processes related to receiving, lot tracking, repackaging, quality control , and procurement . The ideal candidate will excel at following established procedures, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring product quality throughout the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Receiving and Lot Control:

• Verify and document incoming shipments of raw materials, ensuring proper identification and tracking of lot numbers .
• Conduct inspections upon receipt to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of all received materials, including lot numbers, quantities, and sources.

1. Repackaging & Production Oversight:

• Ensure all repackaging processes comply with GMP standards and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) .
• Oversee repackaging operations to confirm proper labeling, packaging, and storage of herbs and supplements.
• Conduct regular quality checks during and after the repackaging process to ensure consistency and safety.

1. Quality Control & Documentation:

• Perform quality inspections and tests on materials and finished products to ensure they meet regulatory and company standards.
• Maintain and organize detailed records of production activities, including batch records, quality control (QC) reports, and inspection logs.
• Implement and manage Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) when necessary to address non-conformities.

1. Procurement and Inventory Management:

• Work closely with the procurement team to ensure raw materials and packaging supplies meet quality and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure an adequate supply of materials while avoiding overstock or expired products.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality of materials.

1. Compliance & Continuous Improvement:

• Stay current with GMP regulations , industry standards, and quality assurance best practices.
• Participate in audits (internal and external) and ensure that any audit findings are addressed with timely corrective actions.
• Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance product quality, compliance, and efficiency.

1. Training & Team Collaboration:

• Provide training to production and packaging staff on GMP compliance, SOPs, and quality procedures.
• Work cross-functionally with other departments, including production, procurement, and quality teams, to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Food Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred but nor required
• 2+ years of experience in a QA or compliance role in the herbal, supplement, or pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong knowledge of GMP regulations and SOPs for manufacturing and repackaging.
• Proven experience in maintaining detailed and accurate records for receiving, lot tracking, repackaging , and quality control.
• Familiarity with procurement processes and vendor management.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow procedures rigorously.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple aspects of production and quality assurance.
• Certification in Quality Assurance or GMP Compliance is a plus.
