The role, at a glance: The Biamp Training Coordinator delivers and tracks training for production team members. This person will ensure operators in manufacturing are fully trained and performing their duties in compliance with trained procedures, job breakdowns and work instructions. As a training coordinator, you will develop new training content, document new station process, and assist with maintaining training documents.
How you'll contribute: - Performs training for all new employees until employee is able to operate a workstation/work cell without assistance as determined by our assessment and certification system.
- Responsible for performing training of current employees when moving to a new station/work cell as determined by the area supervisor/manager.
- In partnership with Training Specialists, create and implement various training programs for production team members, including developing Job Breakdowns by utilizing Word templates and providing feedback on Work Instruction updates to engineering.
- Tracks training throughout their area of responsibility and communicates with area supervisors/managers to ensure team is up to date on training and certifications.
- Tracks, monitors and provides feedback regarding team members performance in various job functions.
- Partners with operations management on various training and quality initiatives.
- Participate in regular audits to ensure training compliance by production operators is maintained.
You'll also assist by: - Competently operating in all areas of production.
- Continuing to learn best training techniques.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
A successful candidate should have: - For external candidates: 2+ years of training experience preferred.
- For internal candidates: A demonstrated history of good performance and the ability to successful train others.
- Must be able to work Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm.
- Ability to create, track, and communicate training schedules.
- Enthusiasm for lifelong learning with a strong desire to share newly obtained knowledge.
- Comfortable with public speaking and presenting to groups.
- Strong organizational & interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook).
- Experience with Microsoft SharePoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work as a team member and independently.
- Ability and willingness to periodically work on other shifts as business needs dictate.
- Creative thinker with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Attendance is a critical function of this position.
Some nice-to-haves: - Experience with an LMS (Learning Management System) is a plus.
Work environment: - This is an onsite position based in Chester, PA.
- Manufacturing, warehouse, and office environments.
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment as required in designated areas.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs., stand or sit for long periods of time.
