Job Details We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced technical Vice President of Business Development to join our dynamic team in the engineering industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development, technical sales, and a deep understanding of 3D printing and additive manufacturing. Experience in the Space, Aerospace, or Automotive sectors will be a significant advantage. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills, capable of driving business growth and fostering innovation in our engineering solutions.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage the business development team, setting clear objectives and performance metrics.
2. Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the engineering industry, specifically in the fields of Space, Aerospace, and Automotive.
3. Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan to enhance the company’s market position and achieve sustainable financial growth.
4. Foster and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, clients, and partners to expand the company's client base.
5. Leverage knowledge of 3D printing and additive manufacturing to drive innovative solutions and business opportunities.
6. Collaborate with the executive team to align the business development strategy with the company’s vision and goals.
7. Oversee the preparation and submission of proposals, bids, and contract negotiations.
8. Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify challenges and opportunities.
9. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior business development role within the engineering industry.
3. Proven experience in technical sales, with a strong understanding of 3D printing and additive manufacturing.
4. Extensive knowledge and experience in the Space, Aerospace, or Automotive sectors.
5. Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
7. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a track record of driving business growth and innovation.
8. Ability to travel as needed for client meetings, industry events, and company presentations.
9. Proficient in using CRM software and other business-related software.
